2020.03.13. - President’s Committee’s provision on the minimizing the potential risk of the coronavirus

The Presidential Committee of the University approved and published several provisions with the aim of minimizing the potential risk of spreading the coronavirus, which talks in detail about the following topics: the steps to be taken regarding educational activities, student administration, the operation of the Library, the operating hours of the buildings and services. Furthermore, it also addresses the topics of the operation of the dormitories, the work arrangement for employees, restrictions on events, travel restrictions, the order of procurement and other commitments, and the rules of procedure and rules of entry into force.

2020.03.11. - Information regarding the exceptional recess order

Based on the Government’s decision, Dr. András Lánczi, rector of the University ordered a recess for March 12-13, this Thursday and Friday.

The next week, from March 16 to March 20, will be the early spring break country-wide. This period gives us the opportunity to prepare for moving on with our educational activities after the spring break.

2020.03.10. - Information regarding the order of the President’s Committee  


The leadership of the University has decided to delay all events for an indefinite period that were planned to be held on university premises, which aren’t directly linked to the University’s core activity (i.e. education) and would have fifty or more participants. As a further preventive measure, the leadership also decided to suspend all reading room services of the University Library for an indefinite period.

2020.03.05. - Information regarding the recent coronavirus developments

 We urge our students, teachers and employees coming back from the most affected areas to stay at home for two weeks and look for symptoms. We strongly recommend our students, teachers and employees, considering the situation, to not visit any of the affected areas in the near future.
