Cooperation agreement with Renmin University| 2007.10.12.

The president of Renmin University/China, Professor Ji Baocheng has visited our University on 10th October, 2007. The Renmin University is located in Beijing, having about 25 faculties and 52 different kinds of institutions. It is considered among the top five universities in China. The RU puts special emphasis on the education of national Key Disciplines such as the Humanities and the Social Sciences. 

During the discussion Professor Norbert Kis, Vice-rector for International Affairs briefly presented the activities of Corvinus University of Budapest, spoke a few words about the brand new building, and introduced the short and preparatory programs. He said that the intention of CUB is to broaden and develop the Chinese partnership, and continue the cooperation in a wider field. 

With the short presentation of our faculties, the members of the delegation had some insight into the wide educational spectrum of CUB. Our guests have been informed in Chinese language about the newly founded Chinese Research and Study Center - operating at the Faculty of Public Administration – by its leader, Sándor P. Szabó. He spoke about the plan of the Center to build a huge knowledge base for experts, establish and develop appropriate relations between CUB and the Chinese scientific world.

The activities of Renmin University were represented by the President, Professor Ji Baocheng and the Dean of the Business School, Professor Chen Yangjun.

At the end of the meeting Professor Norbert Kis and Professor Ji Baocheng signed a general cooperation agreement and it has been agreed that further cooperation is possible, in particular with the Chinese Research and Study Center and in the field of Information Management educational program.

Finally the President of Renmin University handed the gifts and publication materials to the Vice-rector of CUB.
